The .480 Ruger is ready.

Got my SBH Bisley in .480 Ruger out of Purgatory a couple weeks ago. Just been waiting on the front sight to come in and put her all together.

I changed out the factory grips for some Black Micarta ones I had on hand. The front sight is a Hi-Viz Fiber Optic.

She might be one of my new favorite hunting handguns!

I've ordered some 355gr LFN-GC bullets from Matt's Bullets. Hopefully, they will be here this week so I can get load development completed for deer hunting.

That is definitely a good looking gun. When will we be getting a range report?

When the bullets arrive. The cases are already prepped.

Loving the bullet choice. What was the barrel length again?

Another sexy beast in the quiver.

    You suck!

Any idea what the velocity is going to be on those 355 grainers?

Hodgdon says 1,464 fps from a 7.5" barrel.
So, I'm looking for around 1,400 or so.

What made you settle for the "special" when you could have gone "magnum" Mr. Seyfried? :tooth:

Notwithstanding, a very nice Keith/Croft revolver.

Pretty gun, but still pegs my meh-o-meter. It's an over grown 45 colt.

I am too recoil adverse to fire a 45-70 equivalent in a handgun. Ouch!

That's a sharp looking revolver Zee.
With you behind the wheel I'm expecting a one hole group with those factory loads.

I really like your grip choice. If I recall correctly, the .480 will also fire .475 Linebaugh....or do I have that wrong?

I am curious as to what grips and sight it came with??

I know the fiber optic sights are an excellent tool, but darn they detract from the guns beauty

Good Lord, those grips make your pistol from a meh to a  when it comes to looks. Even though the high viz sights aren't pretty, they sure seem to be functional.

The factory groups are very thin and probably why my .454 Casull is rather painful to shoot.

The hose grips on the .480 Ruger are thicker and therefore probably going to be more comfortable to shoot.

The factory front site is all but useless to me as I am unable to accurately aim with it. The replacement may not be the best looking but as far as function goes it is is a necessity.

Supposedly.........the .480 Ruger recoils a tad more mildly than the .454 Casull.

Hopefully. Because her twin sister inn .454 Casull with .350gr bullets is downright painful.

If you value your ability to write cursive, you'll get some rubber grips. I know they look awful, but they protect your hands in such a hot load. The grips you posted look great, but they're hard.

My shooting mentor goes with the same grips and padded gloves with his Casull
