Democrats are trying to tax guns and ammunition out of existence

H.R. 5130 proposes 50% excise tax on ammo, and 20% excise tax on firearms. Can't ban them outright so they try to make them unaffordable.

If Steve Cohen was my representative I'd light him up with a post to his office. Since he's not my representative, if I DID write him, he'd ignore it.

I wanted to make sure mine wasn't on there. If he ever gets on there, I will tear him a new one.

MY representative knows better than to sign on to any gun control stuff. He lives in an area where going home could become a mite 'dicey' if you catch my drift!

My district is the "union Democrat" type-- the UAW was founded here. Even the gun toting Elmer Fudds wouldn't look very kindly at this bill. It would not be a very smart thing for him to do even in my very blue district.

Wow, there's even somebody from California co-sponsoring this hot mess - color me surprised...

I can't stand Steve Cohen. He on the local news all the time spouting out bull crap. He should be married to Pelosi.

The rhinestone cowgirl is in it for herself. She doesn't care what her constituents want as long as she can buy more gaudy gauche cowgirl hats.

Are you in any way surprised! Taxes are the Democrat way of control. Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, Ammunition, Reloading Components, What is next?

Surprised? No. I'm not surprised at ANYTHING  a bunch of card carrying Democratic Socialists come up with to try to force a Socialist government on the U.S. That's their end game and they're 'out of the closet' on it since Trump got elected. I'm still waiting on them to start that 'Civil War' they keep running their cake holes about incessantly. Just hide and watch; the midterm elections are going to be close to those 'interesting times' you don't want to live through if my guess is correct.

Sadly, i agree with you.  If they ever gain enough traction if could get real scary.
Down here almost everyone is a snowflake or thug.  Funny thing, they vote straight D.

Surprised? No. I learned a LONG time ago that the power to tax is the power to destroy. I also believe the Liberty Tree is looking a mite peeked and needs some of that particular fertilizer that Thomas Jefferson said it needed, from time to time.
