For refusing to sell him a rifle

http://www.fox2detroit.com/news/local-news/michigan-teen-unable-to-buy-firearm-sues-dicks-for-age-discrimination

This is one of a number of suits filed...but in this case, I know the kids Father.....who owns a very nice gun shop....
Obviously the young man doesn't need to buy anything from D ick's...but his Dad and uncle are huge 2A supporters and I suspect they are making a statement....
Due to the age discrimination laws in MI the suit had a good chance of success

Obviously the freaking auto-censor edited out the bad word in the link to the news article.....

I am not happy with this state of affairs....I would just as soon leave it up to the mods to edit out bad language instead of some robot treating me like an unruly child....

For the most part, the guys on the board know where the line is as far as language is concerned and the mods are entirely capable of taking care of those who don't....as soon as we can be mods again....

As it stands at the moment we can't even have a discussion about WWII history, a certain guy in Germany and his political party without some automated PC referee weighing in on the discussion

The law suite is good. It's just common sense gun law😊

    The auto sensor😕

The case makes sense. If a business refused to serve alcohol to all customers under 30, they would get their butts sued off. Basically the same thing.

Or they could stop selling bikinis and Speedos to people over 40-- to protect the children.

I'm glad to see some serious backlash on this. If for no other reason than to make some of these 18 year olds see just what they're giving up as to their Constitutional rights. They still have to register for the draft at 18 but the so called lawmakers are telling them that they aren't adult enough to own a firearm at 18. Just because there isn't a draft NOW doesn't mean there won't be one at some time in the future. Going to be hard breaking 12+ years of government controlled indoctrination in the public school system, though.

On this morning's TV news. Kroger's is not only discontinuing sales of guns and ammunition. They are also discontinuing sales of publications containing photographs of and articles about "assault weapons"! Apparently "zero tolerance" has expanded from schools to retail merchants. Is the "Ministry of Truth" no longer fiction? Will my future Guns & Ammo magazines have blank covers and very few pages?

I remember when Playboy and Hustler were behind the counter, along with some other 'men's magazines'. Anybody remember Argosy magazine? Just another hit on the 1st Amendment is what this is about; nothing more nor less.

Anybody also remember Paladin Press? They published a lot of How-To books on suppressors and homemade firearms. They finally folded this year, 2018. They were sued repeatedly in the 1990's for their publications by individuals that shouldn't have been turned loose with machine tools, welders, and such and managed to maim themselves, and by the BATFE a few times. They just finally folded. It's a shame; their books gave me a lot of ideas to launch projects in different directions.

Suppression of information and ideas is dangerous; it forces things underground. And that is never a good thing.

Our grand kids are the ones who will experience the bulk of the suppression of ideas. The current crop of college students love these ginned up protests against conservatives. If they never mature, like so many from the 60's did not, it will be bad.

The voting rights of the 18 y.o. population is relatively safe from attack due to that being the 26th Amendment to the Constitution.

This is the FIRST generation that is clamoring for their rights to be taken away. This above all is what is noteworthy of their protests. Their total embrace of socialism is what will take us further down that road.

Too much tv news guys. Next time your watching, check the number of protesters shown. No where near a fraction of what the spin wizards are trying to portray.

    Very True
The school walk out was just a reason to get out of class for most of them.

Miami Dade School Commissioner told them they would be supported as long as things stayed orderly, if they brought disgrace on the school district they would be dealt with. He really loves the kids, the real deal.
The ones you see on TV are the same rude, loud group over and over again.
