I'm not an AR guy, but that thing looks real serious. Ready for long range.

And some try to say that this style rifle is not for hunting
Looks great, looking forward to your range report

I'm not what you would call an AR aficionado but I'd shoot that and grin all day doing it. Congrats.

I just read where SAMMI just released Industry standards for the Valkyrie cartridge.

In the spirit of enabling, PSA has the same barrel and BCG on sale for $250 shipped today.

I love this rifle and am really loving that cartridge. I didn't at first, figuring it was just another BS wanna be popular AR cartridge, but after studying it closer, this thing's the real deal. But what is BCG stand for? I'm kinda new to ARs and I may go stupid and build one, so I need to start learning all the terminology.

    Looks great.

Had the PSA weekend deal been a 22" or 24", I would have bought it.

Put about 50 rounds down range today. All factory ammo - Federal American Eagle 75 gr FMJ and Federal Fusion 90 gr soft point. Neither shot worth a crap.

Best group was about 1.25-1.5" with the 90 gr ammo. Some groups were as large as 4-5" especially the 75 gr FMJs. Best thing I can say about today's shooting is I have some brass to reload now. Granted neither bullet is known for its accuracy.

I really like the Sightron scope for the intended purpose - killing lots of paper and perhaps a truck gun for coyotes and similar.

Looks like hand loading is in my future. Ideally I'd have a large supply of 80 gr AMAX on hand but I guess I will probably start with the Hornady 80 gr ELD Match. Maybe Sierra. Maybe both...

Just measured the Fed AE 75 gr cartridge - about 2.14" OAL. I noticed these looked awful sloppy in the mag with plenty of room to spare. Loading closer to 2.3" will likely help.

What is the expected accuracy of that cartridge and your AR platform?

I'm sure you will find the sweet spot for both.

    Very nice looking rifle.
