224 Valkyrie Build Complete

Finally got around to finishing a 224 Valkyrie build.
- Anderson lower w/ ambi selector, Ergo grip, RRA 3 lb match trigger
- upper from parts pile, Diamondhead 15" handguard, PSA 20" 1/7 stainless barrel and PSA Valkyrie BCG, Rousch brake
- standard A2 stock
- Sightron STAC 4-20x50 MOA reticle in a Vortex mount (nice mount, well machined)
Hope to hit the range soon and see what it will do.

I'd rather have my sister work in a whorehouse than own another Taurus!

Had the PSA weekend deal been a 22" or 24", I would have bought it.

Best group was about 1.25-1.5" with the 90 gr ammo. Some groups were as large as 4-5" especially the 75 gr FMJs. Best thing I can say about today's shooting is I have some brass to reload now. Granted neither bullet is known for its accuracy.
I really like the Sightron scope for the intended purpose - killing lots of paper and perhaps a truck gun for coyotes and similar.
Looks like hand loading is in my future. Ideally I'd have a large supply of 80 gr AMAX on hand but I guess I will probably start with the Hornady 80 gr ELD Match. Maybe Sierra. Maybe both...
I'm sure you will find the sweet spot for both.
