I remember a thread from a long time ago where someone posted the ingredients for a home-brew bore cleaner containing Kroil penetrating oil and another product in a 50/50 mix. I don't remember the second ingredient. Anybody got some help on this?

No. Kroil is not a good lubricant. It's a penetrating oil, but based on personal experience, it'll freeze on you in a heartbeat.
