    Religion

I apologize for discussing religion and will refrain from it in the future.
    Sorry

    Re: Religion

It's an easy topic to roll into around here and we have learned in the past, it seldom ends well when the topic gets touchy. Glad to see that we didn't lose another long-time forum member over it and good to see you positng again.

As far as I'm concerned, there is no apology neccessary. People of strong opinion often disagree and expressing those opinions shouldn't lead to hurt feelings.

    It's all good, brother!

Grandpa always said that there are three things we should never discuss around the table: politics, religion, and that thing with the guy in the place that we don't talk about.

    Re: Religion

I think the Big Three of Sex, politics, and religion have been covered.

Wayne you're a big man....literally in all aspects ...to admit an apology in public...... My hat is off to you sir!

Some extremely passionate subjects have come up.......I think the wiser's on this forum recognize the turmoil, and none of us will keep our mouth's from spouting our opinions.....that is the beauty of the this particular forum......we are rauceous, yet self containing and restraining.

We've all been to other forums.....and seen the calamity and flaming.......only here, will bad behavior get checked like a hockey game from other members......it's an open clique, we welcome all, we pounce on stupid and spam....it's almost self-regulated....we might not like each other in some respect......but we show respect where it's due....gotta say, I'm proud of the the people here, and their willingness to expose their personal issues in PM....This forum is like a family somewhat.

A member or a new poster has a personal issue.......look at how many come to their comfort at the minute of request....and actually mean it. Many a new poster has a question, and is AMAZED at the instant response they get.

Everyone of us has had those moments of doubt.....and because of this forum.....they have brothers and sister to fall back upon.

    Re: Religion

Apology not needed here, pal. I sometimes post a religious comment and we're all grownups here (most of us, ha ha), and a mild discussion on a religious topic is fine. The thing to avoid is slamming someone else's religious stance. But just saying "here's what I believe..." isn't offensive to me.

And 52, I agree. The members here are classy. They generally police themselves and rarely stir up personal reactions requiring moderator interventions.

    Re: Religion

I really do not like talking about religion, because I think it is a private thing between a man and his God. However, how can a man, of reasonable intelligence, walk into a woods or s field of wild flowers and believe that this all just happened by chance? When I was still working as a LEO, I became aware that I had a guardian angel. I have been shot at several times, without gettimg struck by a projectile......Robin
