THat'll do. I have seen some incredible groups shot with those exact bullets, and not even in a custom rig. Just a factory varmint rifle (Rem 700 VSF) putting 5 through one ragged hole. Out of a tuned up rig, I can't even imagine what you'll be able to pull off.
Accuracy: because white space between bullet holes drives me insane.

Did I show you my picture of the two buckets of .308 180gr JLK LBT bullets I received last month? 2000 bullets. Boy, was the postman pissed.

Now you have no excuses left for not showing up in Raton.

I have several of his buckets and I am sure USPS really appreciated that little white bucket of joy
Not using 168 A-Max's for 1000 yard FTR

Both my 308 Win and my 338 Snipe-Tac will be ready to roll after the 1st.
If I have time today I am going to chrono some loads Chuck gave me to use (100) and zero for some fun shooting out to 500-600 on steel.
Or I may just zero it and guesstimate the MV and go from there

Why not? In Raton, you will be at 6600 feet ASL. That bullet might get there supersonically at that elevation.

What took you so long to figure that out?

BTW, my load with the 168 A-Max was 46gr Varget, Winchester LRP.

    Thanks!
I have known it for awhile.
Sometimes I was not sure if you were just messing with me or serious, or a combination of the two :)

Here's a good default position; for me, it's ALWAYS for fun. I love to tease and mess with people.

I sure hope you make it to Raton, we would have a lot of fun talking about some of the folks here. I'm making a list.

Re: Getting closer now to shoot the 308 Win

Sebastian emailed me back and said he hopes to make it to the states for the 2014.
I think the plan was to shoot with him and a couple of other guys--Team I think.
Can you do both individual and team?

Re: Getting closer now to shoot the 308 Win

You sure can. There are team matches and individual matches and they are on different days. This summer, I shot team matches on the Sunday prior to the Nationals and on the Thursday team match. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, I shot the individual matches and on Monday, I shot on squadded practice. In other words, I shot 6 days in a row; I was there to shoot.

The 2013 Nationals: Sunday is squadded practice; Monday, Tuesday and Thursday are for individual matches and Thursday is Team matches.

2013 Words: Friday is squadded practice; Saturday and Sunday are for individual matches; Monday and Tuesday are for Team matches.

That will be up to 10 consecutive days of shooting. Bring lots of ammo or a reloading setup.
