Jayhawker, the president sees just fine. His motivation for gun control has absolutely nothing to do with public safety. He knows there is no connection between the RKBA by law-abiding people and the crime rate. His sole motivation for advocating gun control is the further concentration of power in the hands of the government at the expense of the citizenry. The whole public safety establishment - Brady, VPC, Joyce Foundation, etc., are just shills attempting to distract and derail the opposition. Every time a gun owner focuses on the public safety nonsense, he's missing the boat, and not paying attention to the hidden agenda that liberals always hide every goal behind - the veil of "in the public interest."

That was my point. Illinois is the biggest "Gun Free Zone" in the country! We are the only state without some kind of Concealed Carry legislation and look how that's working out. The only ones with guns are the gang-bangers in "Crook" county. I was born in Cook county (1946) and would be afraid to walk around up there at night! It has to be the most dangerous metropolitan area in the nation.

There are many many other gun friendly states that would love to welcome you if you so decide to get out of the state of totalitarianism. NC is really nice. And your money goes a lot farther. Pack up and move to an actual "free" state in the union.
