Remember that fancy AR that nobody thought would sell...

Well, it has surpassed the amount I financed on my 2012 Ram truck!

Don't have that kind of money and if I did don't think I would spend it on that....But that thing sure is a neat little piece of cool...I like Turnbull's other rifles, can't afford them but you have to respect his craftsmanship.

Trumbull does make world class stuff. I'm accumulating some guns that at some point will be headed his way. My early 1900's 1894, My Savage 99 and a future Win 1886 purchase will probably end up at his place for conversion into shootable works of art

I think I remember drooling heavily over a custom 45/75 or 50/90 (something like that) Teddy Roosevelt lever gun he did a few years back...The color case hardening, engraving, and the woodwork on that gun really made it look world class.

My respect for Turnbul is how they can take an old beaten and abused 1911 and make it look factory fresh. Then turn around on their next gun and put a beautiful case hardened finish. Their work is awe inspiring to say the least.

Kind of ironic that the item location is Newtown, CT.

I don't hate Mopar. I think they are very nice Italian trucks

I may be alone here but I don't like that gun one bit. I just can't get into the fine wood and case hardened look on an AR. Just doesn't work for me. Beautiful work without a doubt, but I'd prefer to see it on a classic rifle or shotgun.

Clearly someone with a great sense of dark humor and deep pockets is opening a "world ugliest" museum.

Yes, though it would have been nice if they'd done more to the Parkerized parts kit than just install as is with the mold lines still showing. Turnbull can replicate the BLUE flame bluing that you see on the triggers/safeties/slide stops/mag catches of the VERY earliest 1911's. WE KNOW THIS, and that would have been the place for it.

At first I thought.........meh, no way. Then I looked at it some more. If I was in a position to be able to spend money like that and not have it matter, I'd throw a bid down on it.

    Ain't that the truth!

Not beating up on Mopar. Same can be said for any new vehicle purchase, 50% (mas 'a mino) loss as soon as you sign the paperwork.
