El Paso Posting Videos on How to React to an Active Shooter

Wow. Even though some of it is sound advice, it screams "Sheeple".

I agree on the "sheeple" slant. The final scene reminds me of the report from Flight 103 if memory serves, the 9/11 plane that went down in Pennsylvania - a determined group of people determined not to be helpless victims swarming the box cutter wielding hijackers in a show of force. Any means necessary.

One fact drawn from the Sandy Hook shootings that sticks for me...

The principal and one other administrative-type employee reportedly "rushed" the shooter upon his first arrival at the school office. Had either one of them had access to anything like an appropriate tool, rather than waving hands in the shooter's face and screaming "STOP!", how different might the story have been???

I don't know.............I can't carry at work, so in a situation like that, getting out would be my first plan of action.

The video only needed to be just over 1 minute long.
After the phrase " You need to be prepared for the worst " ( about 1.03 into the clip) it should have directed the watcher to sites advocating and advertising CCW. ............and then gone on to show a CCW permit holder taking the BG out...

Oh, and the notice on the door should have read.....'CCW holders permitted on premises. We also encourage our staff to take responsibility for their own and their fellow workmates safety. Of 380 employees in this building, 112 are CCW holders. Go ahead, Make their Day'

The above would probably do more to stop mass shootings.......

I couldn't tell for sure, but it appeared like there might have been signage indicating the 30.06 law on the door.

In the fight portion, the guy went after the shooter with a fire extinguisher. Which makes a great weapon. However, actually hosing the guy down with it is another option. A face full of dry chem would not be pleasant. Of course, it would affect everyone, but the bad guys day would get bad real quick. Mayne giving you time to retreat.
