The Need for Semi-Automatic "Assault" Weapons

Great article "The Need for Semi-Automatic "Assault" Weapons" http://townhall.com/columnists/katie...1485999/page/2

This article disputes the gun control crowd's reasoning that we don't need "Assault rifles" except for killing, they always fail to understand in some situations a handgun is insufficient when confronting a group of attackers.

They always hype the mass shootings that pale from the number of crimes, prevented by citizens using firearms, which far outnumber crimes committed with firearms, as they are never reported by the media.

Re: The Need for Semi-Automatic "Assault" Weapons

I see your point, but I don't believe we're at a place where we should be required to prove a "valid need" for "assault rifles". That's just one more method governments use to keep guns out of the hands of citizens. If I have to prove a valid need for an "assault rifle", then my Congressmen, Senators, Governor, and President should be required to prove a valid need for the bloated salaries they receive.

ATF should not be a government agency, it should be a discount store.
