Well I gotta tell you guys, it was so cold today that I saw a democrat with his hands in his own pockets!

Thank you Bob Hope!!
Even SW Ohio, here was cold enough to see a "thug" with his pants pulled up.
It was so cold here that when we went for a walk, Clean couldn't talk.

It is -3F here this morning. At this point VD looks like a good idea just for the burning sensation.
Part of what makes the AK so awesome is that it's the shameless, kinda dirty chick who's always down to party and doesn't expect you to buy her diamonds.
It was so cold here I had to turn my AC off.

It was 60 degrees in my house this morning. I actually closed some windows.
I might have to go to the beach to warm up!![]()
That's all I got.

It was so cold on Christmas Eve Day that I had to put extra Tabasco sauce on my avocado after I went snorkeling.
All o' y'all need to come over & share some Big Island Aloha!
We have plenty of room.
(SES, you homesick yet?)

It was actually cold here; well, cold for here.
I went out in the woods and all the water puddles and the start
of a beaver pond was iced over.

Give me a break.
Middle of summer here......temps in the workplace have been over 110f in the shade houses. Running the overhead sprinklers every 30 mins to try to stop the plants from going into hibernation ( they do that when they get too hot ) Dont know what the humidity level is, the machine broke. Had to resort to cutting holes in the walls to try and get some airflow.
Damned if I know why they call them shade houses.........I can feel the sun burning me through 30% shade cloth!
And dont talk to me about bills..........monthly water bill for dec was just on 4 digits.
I have changed my work pattern.....Up when the first glow in the sky shows up ( about 5am) work till midday, take a 3 hr siesta and head back out at 3pm to work through till dark ( about 8.30-9pm)
However................1st charter for the year on saturday, look forward to getting out on the water and getting some fish.....and burnt...and sunstroke........
Still enjoying the trip of a lifetime and making the best of what I have.....
Bet you have a headache, too,~~~~~~~~~from walking upside down.

It's been shirt-sleeve weather here in north Florida in the past few days. But yesterday I drove up to the Mountains close to Franklin, NC to pick up 25 bushels of shelled corn and the temp dropped down to 18 degrees last night! God but I was cold!
PFD, do you LIVE in Hawaii now? When did that happen? I thought you were a desert stater... AZ or NM or something...
So cold here, don't think we will even reach 80 today!

Buff,
I didn't make a big deal about it but yeah, in order to stop traveling for work so much I moved from Flagstaff to TBI in July. (Turns out that I landed in SES's old stomping ground.)
Flagstaffs unofficial motto is "Poverty With a View". Great town but tough to make a living in so we decided to go for it.
As far as work, it's working out great. I'm actually waking up in my own bed (as opposed to a hotel) and I get to spend weekends with my wife.
Living on The Big Island is great, once again, if you can make a living, which I am. There is a palpable difference in the way things are done here. Everyone is laid back & just not in that big of a hurry to conquer the world. And I've learned the meaning of Aloha. Pretty cool when the locals start taking you in. My customers call me "Bruddah" and my wife's co-workers call her "Sister".
Some friends from the mainland are visiting now so we went to look at Kīlauea's lava pouring into the ocean. It was awesome! Pele is having a ball.
If anyone finds themselves heading for TBI feel free to look us up. Like I said, we made sure we have plenty of room for visitors.
ETA: The biggest downer, The gun laws SUCK! I'm still waiting on a friend to take this haole pig hunting on his farm. Slim chance of getting checked for un-registered firearms on private land. (Of course I left all of mine on the mainland.)

It has been really cold here in Oregon with some warmer days breaking in on the cold damp rain, that will change once I complete My move to the tropics.
