One powder I would advise folks to be careful with and might not advise a beginner to start with is Titegroup. Great powder. I use it in a lot of my mild handgun loads, including 357 and 45acp. I love it. But, it takes a very little amount of it and often times the difference between starting and max loads is 1/2 grain or so. Very little room for error and not only are double charges possible, quadruple charges are usually very possible. You really have to be careful with the measurement of Titegroup. Add to that, a lot of powder measures don't like throwing charges that small......
Please don't get me wrong though. I'm a huge fan of that powder. Great for mild, very accurate handgun loads.
