Mine has a worked over factory trigger.

But, I hear tell that Kelby makes a dandy aftermarket trigger for them.

How about pics and details about your gun?

I bet several outfits make one for it. Timney would probably. I'm thinking maybe it's the same trigger as was on the model 600 and 660, but not sure.

Dell Taylor's custom XP trigger is the one I like the most.
It does not have a safety, but it is basically the center-grip trigger version of a Jewell

No typical trigger companies make centergrip triggers for the XP-100.
If you convert the XP to a rear grip stock, then any trigger that works for a Rem 700, will work great.

ZEE, I have never been able to post pics. I've tried many times but they dont get past photobucket. Specs on the pistol are started as a .221 fireball, I opened the bolt face to .475, installed a Sako style extractor, 18" Shilen #4 cm. bbl. chambered it for 7 x 57 AI, its in a laminated birch/walnut stock, has 1 1/2 x 6 Burris posi-loc scope in Burris posi-align rings.

What I need is someone hat lives close to me to show me how to post pics. The truth is I'm really computer illiterate.

Dell is who I meant to say. Not, Kelby. My bad.

I knew what you meant, but I doubted that anyone else would, so I posted.

Sounds like a dandy! Would love to see it if you figure out how.

Trouble is, sometimes I don't even understand it.

    Re: REM. xp-100 triggers ??

Thanks for all the info. The stock is a thumbhole, really comfortable to shoot, felt recoil is less than my .41 mag blackhawk. Before I buy a new trigger I'm gonna try to tune up the old one, if it doesnt work out , nothing is lost. I'd like to have a saftey since I hunt with it. Theres a fair ammount of wood under the trigger area, enough I think to install a 700 or other trigger. Will let ya know.

What do you perceive is the problem with the trigger on your XP? For a stock XP trigger with the Rem. linkage setup, the trigger on my XP is very nice. No creep and crisp letoff.

Just don't carry a loaded round in your XP when moving.
If still hunting, have a round in the chamber, bolt forward, but not turned down.
I don't see how you can use a 700 Rem type trigger in a center-grip stock.

Trigger breaks at about 4 - 5 lbs, and has some creep.

A qualified smith should be able to turn that into a nice useable trigger.

Ernie, I think im qualified, been at this stuff since 1960, the trouble with this gun is it very badly abused, I bought about 1995 for $50.00. never really messed with the trigger. After reading your posts with LR pistols I thought why not just get a good trigger. In the next few weeks im gonna pull it apart and see if it can be cleaned up. I'll let ya know how it works out
