It's okay to shoot a double into the air because, although terribly efficient as a self defense weapon, it's not powerful enough to shoot down airplanes.

My only problem is every time I shoot a double I pee my pants, vomit and swallow my whistle. But I do feel safe.

I come up with....maybe he doesn't want to piss off the NRA and maybe he is secretly being inefficient.
My theory makes more sense to me--or at least is easier to believe and accept than: no, he really is that dumb!
Maybe he is intentionally being insubordinate to Obama.

If I were to shoot a gun in my house, the damage to the house would be severe, not to mention I have natural gas lines running up a wall...and electrical wires.
Also, aren't "double barrel shot gun"s hinge action? In which case you would be out of ammo immediately.

I think we're missing a great opportunity here.

We need to designate a date for everyone to do the following.

At 10 p.m. local time, everyone go out on their balcony or outside their house, and fire a couple of shotgun blasts into the air. If you have a double barrel shotgun, even better. Then, when the cops show up, just tell them that you thought someone was breaking into your house, and that you were merely following the vice-presidents directive.

HA actually someone did that and now they are in trouble. To top it off, now Biden is saying "you want to keep them away from the house so just shoot the shotgun through the door"
