Yes...they announced she committed suicide yesterday...sad deal, always enjoyed her singing...

Her baby daddy was found dead, on their front porch, a little over a month ago, from an apparent suicide. Some people think she had something to do with it. On Sunday it appears she shot his dog and then herself.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: For I carry a .308 and not a .270
Screw her!!!! She was weak and cowardly.
"McCready leaves behind two sons, 6-year-old Zander and 10-month-old Zayne" .....This is the sad part for me.
Michakav, you're entitled to your own opinion and thoughts, naturally, but that's a pretty calloused thing to say. People get screwed up in the head for various reasons-their own doings or otherwise-but suicide should never be considered as an option out. I didn't even know who she was---never heard her sing, never saw her on TV or whatever---but she was beautiful woman, and more importantly she was a PERSON! No one, IMO, deserves this way out![]()
Fox reported it the day it happened.
A lot.
If not via the regular anchors, certainly with the ticker that runs along the bottom of the screen.
It's my understanding that she has had a lot of personal problems for some time. It's sad that it came to this, but she had the world at her feet and apparently wasn't able to deal with it. I guess that fame and fortune is not always what it's cracked up to be.
I feel bad for those two kids she left behind. I hope that someone who loves them and can take care of them will do just that.

Her house is about an hour north of me. When they first tried to take her oldest, the baby wasn't born yet, I think she fled to Oklahoma or something. It's another sad tail of to much too soon fame, fortune, and money. Throw in drugs and she was doomed. The grand parents, to their credit did all they could to intervene and now they have young children to raise. A very sad story.
She had known substance abuse issues and was already in a fragile state after already going through rehab publicly a few years ago. Then her boyfriend killed himself last month. The reports I saw said that the people who went into the house said it was an abomination: filthy from lack of upkeep, complete with dog feces all over the place. It sounds like she relapsed and then wore thin of her own self-despair and made a terrible decision. It's a sad thing for her kids to contend with, regardless of the circumstances and how young the little one is.

I don't really know. I am becoming quite calloused lately for some reason. Stress combined with all of the stupid (political...etc.) crap happening everyday in the US is taking a toll on me for some reason. I need to work on reining it in because I did not use to feel this way and don't really like it.
Anyhow..I came off strong about Mindy because I was not aware of alot of the circumstances and was not aware that her kids were with others for a while now. Plus, I am VERY calloused when it comes to celebrity "sob" stories. I still find it to be a cowardly way out though, no matter how bad someone is hurting, especially when children are involved.

Excellent, Mich! Just relax a little if you can about all the crap we're experiencing "politics"wise. Things are bound to swing back the other way sometime soon....I hope! The American people are not damn fools. We'll reverse things I'm sure....always have in the past!
it's that Dr. Drew dude...
McCready, Jeff Conaway, Rodney King, the bass player for "Alice in Chains" and some reality show goob I never heard of.. all dead after appearing on Celebrity Rehab..

I know what I'm doing, it just doesn't look like it.
Took me a minute, but I got it. Not much of a county music fan anymore.
Sure it's sad, but it's just as sad when the no name person living under a bridge kills themselves. But yet, there is no fanfare or trying to figure out what happened when the no name person offs themselves. People are people, unless you are famous.

Michakav......................I understand. Since my wife died I hear of this kind of thing and my reaction is, "So what I got my own problems." I try to wait awhile before replying to things.
Who was Mindy Mcready?
