RIA 1911 22lr pistol

anybody have any experience with the rock island 22lr 1911 pistol?.............. Time to get one ......and since i like their 45's so much ............................i wonder if the 22's had the same rep

Haven't shot one. About $150 higher than the Colt and Sig 1911 .22s.

I don't know about the RI but a couple of my friends have the GSG 1911 from Aim Surplus. Those have been 100% reliable so far. With any luck I should have on by spring.

I bought the Colt Gold Cup about 2 weeks ago, I put 300 rounds through it at the range. I probably had 4 FTE in that time, using cheap federal and winchestser ammo, overall I was pretty happy with it. Although as the older I get, I sure appreciate a good set of 3 dot sights, these on Gold Cup while adjustable, are all black, which I find I have a difficult time shooting. Nothing a little, chartreuse paint dabbed on the front sight couldn't fix though.

The Sig has gotten VERY favorable reviews. I would be hard pressed not to try either that or the Colt first.

Advice taken............. I had a hard time deciding between this ................and the gold cup,........................ I liked this better but the gold cups adjustable sights made me think real hard................ anyhow ... it better turn out to be a good shooter .... point of aim wise

Think it's caused by links in spam postings. Been getting a lot of that lately.
