Yeah. I found a few things I didn't know that I needed while browsing the catalog.
I did buy some female alternative lifestyle fluid though. Got tired of using a sharpie. We will how the blue juice works.

Layout fluid is a necessary thing to have/use when laying out lines and points on metal. A Sharpie is just totally inadequate. Once you go bright blue, you won't never ever go back to a Sharpie unless it's a dire emergency. You DO have a magnifying glass that attaches to your center punch, dontcha? Precise placement of center punch for drilling precise holes!

Sharpie is and will still be handy for RIGHT NOW use. Grab it and touch it to a part that's spinning in the lathe, and bam its dry.
I imagine I'll spill more of the dykeem than I'll use...

The stuff also comes in spray cans. Hard to spill that way! Of course you can drop the can and bollux up the spray head- - - - - - -

I've done that enough with spray paint to know layout juice in a spray can would be damaged within minutes. Or the nozzle would clog. Then I'd throw it and mess up the nozzle.
Hard to believe the small items I got came out to $95 with shipping, but it DONT take long. Of course I could spend 95,000 with them if I had it to spend.

Had the weirdest dream the other nite. I dreamed about the boutique sports car builder, Panoz. In the dream, they had a 12 passenger, open air, V-10 powered car called the "Big Spaghetti"! "Big Spaghetti" was rendered in loopy calligraphic script while "Panoz" was in block letters. Where did *that* come from?!? It went like a striped ape though!

Maybe I'll arrive at next year's shoot in a Panoz "Big Spaghetti"!

A lady from the VA called me today and said, "Ned would you be so kind and come in on Friday for a hearing test" I said Huh.

So then she asked a couple more question, I said HUH.

She said forget about Friday and come in here tomorrow, I said OK.

I asked where here was and she said something; I said Huh.

She said put Clean on the phone------so I guess I am going to have a hearing test tomorrow instead of Friday-----maybe get a hearing aide.

Made a C spanner for 5C collet nuts tonight. Broke the aforementioned spanner. Used 1/4 "knife steel"...whatever that is, it's what I was told it was. It wasn't hot rolled, that's about all I know of it. Drilled a 3/16 hole in it, got it off center a bit. First used a cheap machine screw for a pin , (shakedown run, hardened pin will replace it) and proceeded to snap the screw. No biggie, grabbed a drill bit. And safety glasses. I ain't totally stupid. Gave her what for and the steel broke. Not surprised, there wasn't much there.
So, back to the drawing board. I've got some thicker steel that will work more better. Not sure the dangle angle was correct for the curve and the pin, but it seemed close enough.

Been a couple years since I had apple cider. Wouldn't buy at what I thought was too high a price. Got some yesterday. $2.58 a half gallon.

Had some with breakfast. OMG it was good!
    Half a jug's enough anyway.

Used to get at the mill/orchard as a kid. Wash down fresh fried doughnuts made on site with it.
My thoughts are generally clear. My typing, not so much.

Yep. Powdered donuts and apple cider (no CPJ, it wasn't Dickens brand) was a fall staple.

Thetr was a retired policeman that lived up tne road from us who made cider in old oak barrels. It wss real cider and not tbe apple juice they sell in stores.

Real cider has a little...... bite to it

So, we go to the VA; only got lost 2 times because the GPS has not kept up with the temporary street closing due to construction.

The DR is a fox----I thought it would be some grumpy old man; not so.

Anyway, she determined I cannot hear; so, in Dec I am sked to get hearing aides. Besides that I get millage for driving where I would have gone anyway.
No wonder the Govt is in debt-----I'll give the money to the food bank.

Clean wanted a braided rug, so, we stopped at a rug store and got one to her liking for 70% off due to a 100 yr anniversary sale.

Then on the way home, we find the road blocked by a tree-----must have fallen because of saturated soil.

It is a solemn place. I stood at the fence where the Union soldiers waited on Pickett's charge: it's a long walk across.that field.
