Saw this guy and a woman on that road in warm weather ; both are deaf, she can speak better and reads lips better.

Good examples of what it could like for those yo-yos who don't wear hearing protection and think 'I'm only gonna shoot a .22 or a few rounds from my 30-30' ...................hearing loss is accumulative.

Couldn't hit jack with .44 spl today; put in a .44 mag and hit dead center.

You firing Spls from a .44 Mag revolver? Could be the way you got the sights adjusted or the recoil from the magnum changes your POI from what the spls do on target.

    Were the spls hitting low?

Left and right-------ammo is 200 gr FMJHP from a factory near Charleston WVA-------they make good ammo, this box and load just does not work for
me------just one of those things that happen.

If ya got it you have to shoot it. I should save it to try in the S&W vice the Ruger.

The .44 spl was 240 gr not 200 gr.

I shot some in the S&W, it shot to POA------maybe a little RT; but, that is just a sight tweak.

Clean was at Navy Relief so I could sneak out and shoot some.
Water is up forcing me to become amphibious 3 places in the road and climb over one downed tree.

Anyway I think I have it down until CRS kicks in again.

Shoot 5 inches low with .44 Mag-----no different than a 6 o'clock hole on a large pistol tgt; and right on with .44 spl.

    Re: Ned's Shooting Thread

Today I headed for the forest on my amphibious bicycle converted for snow and ice above a soft gravely
mud surface. Was not easy going, I had to break through the snow before I could sink in the mud and at
one frozen water crossing I got stopped when I broke through the ice over a few inches of water.

The creeks and ponded water is still iced over even though we have had 2 days of 50/60 temps; however,
most water crossings on the road were running free of ice .

I did shoot a couple of jugs of water with .327 soft point

Some guy was on the news today cleaning ice away from the noses of alligators that were froze up till some heat came back to reanimate them.
My thoughts are generally clear. My typing, not so much.

Strange how that works, I found one, once, laying out on some ice and snow in the sun.
It had total disregard that I had floated the boat right up to it.

I was afraid to try, it might have ricocheted and blew the whole forest down.

    Re: Ned's Shooting Thread

Today I decided to take it easy on the world and shoot some .32 H&R mag in a single 7.

Ammo was George Arms 85 gr .32 HP that shoots quite accurate and effective on fluid filled light containers.

    On the way out I got tangled up in a 3 point antler shed when I moved a small blown down tree out of the road;
at least it seems there is one more deer in the woods.

Tried Balistol for the first time today, it has been reported to stink; wasn't so bad just different.

I used it to remove burned on carbon on the magazine tube of an 11-87.
Spray it on, wait a minute and hit it with a brass brush----done.
