I currently have 4 ranchers/farmers that have given me free range to kill the pigs on their places. I help them out and take care of their place, saving them money and gaining a place to hunt in the process. But, it started with an introduction and recommendation from a mutual friend. Then, a friendly meeting and conversation. From there it budded into an acquaintance or friendship and finally, an opportunity.

When planting season gets in full swing, I have more opportunity than I can shake a stick at.

Because I met people and was personable.
Make Friends? Hell I went to school with half of em. They were asshats then too!
    Daddy, what's an enabler?
Son that's somebody with nothing to do with his time but keep me in trouble with mom.

Most outfits cost about $2000 for a 20-30 min hunt.

    I'd pay double if I could use a M32 MGL 40mm launcher.

My neighbor is paying $6,000 for a 2 hr flight to pig hunt. He's getting some buddies together to pitch in and divide the time.

I ain't gonna pay to hunt something in the air I can hunt on the ground for free.

If I'm going to pay $6000 to hunt something, it won't be something with "feral" as part of its name.

Racking up body count numbers doesn't appeal to me at all. I'd shoot a pig to eat, maybe some for predator control, but the joy of killing for the sake of killing has passed me by. I realize the reason for it, but it's just not for me. Getting soft in my twilight years.

    What if it's feral elk?
Accuracy: because white space between bullet holes drives me insane.

Not for any elk. I've already killed the last big one I care to kill (and pack out).
