Long story short: I told Wambli on Facebook that I'd post a Pirate pic of me with my new eye patch. So to avoid the fine...
Back story of the eye patch... In 2015 I was diagnosed and treated for rare type of Glaucoma. Things have progressed nicely since then and all was great.
Fast forward to March 1, 2017 and on the return flight from New Orleans i started having eye pain again. I really didn't think anything of it since it eventually went away until a week later. The pain/pressure came back with a vengeance accompanied with nausea and extreme light sensitivity. Driving at night is a big no no for now. I got the eye patch to help block out light to the eye.
The doctor said we caught it early and she is taking an aggressive approach. It is an uncommon form of Scleritis https://www.aao.org/eye-health/disea...t-is-scleritis. I don't know if it is the disease or the medicine, but in addition to the previously mentioned symptoms, I am now looking through a heavy white fog in the eye.
Instead of withdrawing and just coping with it, I'm trying to approach it with a sense of humor. Thus the Pirate hat and eye patch picture. And before CPJ says it, I don't think Rosy and her five friends were responsible for me going blind in the eye, at least not yet anyways.
And yes, it is my dominant eye. So I may need to learn to shoot with the other eye & hand. It's either that or sell off my Gus collection, which isn't likely to happen.
