The patch is off. The inflammation and pain are less. The new meds are working but I still have a ways to go. Things are looking better. I was able to see 20/20 in the eye for the first time in weeks (squinting through pinholes). All good news.

However the inflammation has progressed into the iris. So I'm not fully out of the woods, yet. At next week's appointment the Dr will bring in a new Specialist because we need to find the root cause. It turns out Scleritis and Iritis don't happen on their own. Will keep y'all informed.

BTW. Olesniper's pic is hit with my family and friends.

I plead the fifth on providing the idea for olesnipers photo. I also claim no knowledge of an email to him with the aforementioned idea. I'm innocent.

Great news buddy! Sure the docs will get the rest figured out.

Finally beginning to see details enough that I can read again. Fog is slowly lifting.

Today's Dr appointment was a lot better. Got chewed out for stopping the last medication too early.

We started talking about the next steps and blood work, additional specialists, and discovering what hidden/unknown disease could have caused it. She was very blunt and forthcoming, which I greatly appreciate. She was trying to set my expectations to be very realistic.

At one point, I decided to share about the Mardi Gras event because I had read about trauma to the eye "could" cause inflammation. The doctor suddenly shifted gears and was like "now everything makes sense." Seems like it took over a week before the damage from the bead incident really started affecting my eye and vision. I need to stay on the last med for several more weeks. I should start seeing better now each day until I get back to my normal vision. Final diagnosis: Traumatic Iritis

So, I'll retire from being a Pirate for now. Thanks everyone for bearing with me through this. I really appreciate the well wishes, prayers, and humor.

Well let me pile on, and I'll say this with all the love my little black heart can muster.
You're a dumbass for stopping the medication early.
