    Celebrating St Pattys day

Well, came home and the wife is working late, 3rd spawn is staying at a friends, the boy wonder is at parts unknown, either nerding or working his new tutoring gig. That means I'm Obamas elf. Just me, the coyote, and the lab.

So I put some Irish handcuffs in front of me, some burgers on the stove and sweet potato fries in the oven.

Actually we are cooking corned beef and cabbage while listening to the Dropkick Murphys. Since my surname is actually an Irish word, I figure I can celebrate the heritage.

Irish 7 course meal is a baked potato and a 6 pack.

Irish handcuffs is two open beers. If you only have one open you can still run if you cover it with the other hand. Two, you are locked on place.

Wore green(O.K., it was milsurp shirt and pants, but they're green). Had pork chops and fried cabbage, and a couple of Angry Orchard hard apple ciders. Got one open now, and it's GOOD! I hate beer, and don't have any Irish whiskey handy; long drive to get to a county that sells that stuff. I have some stuff from a local supplier made the way my ancestors in TN/GA/NC made it, though. That's special reserve stuff!

Fried cabbage should be on the WMD list. After a few hours that stuff goes rank in your insides and makes some nasty gas.

We did corned beef, fried cabbage, and boiled potatoes, onions, and carrots in the corned beef broth. Then a 40 of Mickey's to go with it.

Between the fried cabbage, boiled onions, and malt liquor-- someone is going to be paying for that tonight. I am not sure if it is going to be me, the Mrs., or both of us.
