New to the stable: Henry Big Boy .357

I've been looking at this rifle since well before last Christmas, and every time I've seen it I wanted it a bit more. About a year ago (thanks to you guys) I got "lever rifle fever", found a Marlin in .44 that sold away because I "had to sleep on it" (big mistake), then soon after found my pre-64 Winchester .30-30. But I still thought it would be cool to have the single cartridge rifle/revolver combo. I've been impressed by the Henry company's values, the 100% American made, and all the positive reviews. The fit and finish on this rifle are excellent, and the action and trigger are smooth and crisp. Looking forward to some fun range time with this one!

A cartridge belt of 357 holds more ammo of lighter weight.

Hey Congrats on the Lever rifle. If I ever get another it will be in .357 or .45 Colt. All I own is one in .45-70.

Eagerly awaiting your range report and impressions of the Henry.

I know they are fine rifles. I just think they are ugly as sin.

The operation on a modern Henry is absolutely excellent. Fine score. Congrats.

Congratulations...my wife wants a .357 lever gun! Ever since she shot mine in 45 Colt, she wants one to shoot .38s.

At the time, 1998, paying for a semester of college seemed more important. I just wish I had worked a few more hours instead. Oh well the memories are priceless.

Nice lever. I can't stand the tube-loading system of these centerfire rifles, but Henry makes good firearms and has the reputation of having one of the best customer's service in the industry.

Now you need a S.A. revolver to pair it

Nice! My LGS has one in .41 Mag. I handled it; nice. I wish it had a half-cock, but I guess it has a transfer bar.

I really like mine. I don't like the look of the gold finish so I went with the steel model.
