The Franken-Ruger goes on a diet

Going to be doing some load development with the 158 grain Swift bullets on Thursday, then loading up some 158 Nosler's for pd'ing as well.
Looks quite a bit different that it did with a 15" barrel and the shorty brake.
Getting ready for big game season already.
Plan to do more killing with it, even more than last year.
    Big game and prairie dogs.
PD shooting is mainly for practice off of Bog-Gear and other field rests.
The 357 Magnum is going to be seeing some action soon.

    Original length (15") with brake:

Looks better. How much speed you going to lose?
I think it would look wicked with the shroud (whatever you want to call it ) flush with the barrel. Like a giant full lug situation.
Not that I want one, because I don't. Mostly. Sorta.
People who say it can't be done should not interrupt those who are doing it.

Chris built one for himself that is basically what you're talking about, but I don't have a picture handy.

I thought the longest shroud he could make was 6".

I think that's about right I wasn't trying to say he can make a 10 inch shroud

My thoughts are generally clear. My typing, not so much.
