For me, yes. Reducing cant at distance is important.
Most of mine mount on my scope. I have some rings that have a level on them.
I have a Holland pic rail that has a level in the pic rail, while other can mount to the pic rail...Lot of ways to skin the cat.

    A: Yes!!
B: All of mine are mounted to the scope tubes. Wheeler makes a couple different kinds of tools to level the action and then the scope reticle/turrets, followed by the anti-can't level.

Rather simple really. Just a series of bubble levels utilizes in succession while attached to the rifle.

    Consistency breeds accuracy.

If you level the rifle for every shot, even at 100 yards, you are taking 1 more step towards doing the SAME thing every time which sure don't hurt accuracy and precision.

Not to mention, at distance, having the scope level to the bore (action), will allow your scope turrets and/or reticle to hold/track true as opposed to veering off at an angle.

Here are are a couple kits I use.

If you'll notice, the level is on the wrong side of the rifle. That's because it's my buddy's rifle and he's wrong minded (left handed).

Nice deer! Those things must be tough as nails. How did it clear 70 plus yards with that off side crater? I know a heart shot often causes a short mad dash, but that was some mega-serious damage going on there.

The off leg didn't work as he ran off. It just hung limp.

    Nice shooting

I have a feeling Berger toughened their bullets up after I, and probably others, had their "hunting bullets" blow up on impact.

When a 155gr 30 cal bullet that hits the second to last rib doesn't leave a mark on the inside of the offside, that bullet grenaded on impact.

Yes was only 70 yards, but was also only from a mundane 30-06 and not some super magnum.

I've found using them in my contender 30-30 carbine give adequate penetration.
Once I use the rest of that box in my 30-30, I am DONE with Berger bullets for hunting.
