RK has Marlins on sale M 1894/95 .44/.45Colt/45-70

    Rural King has a sale 1895G 45-70 $459 and the .44/.45 Colt 1894 $479

I dunno, I already have an 1895 45-70 and was thunking about the .45 Colt............I wish there was some .357s, I think I'd enjoy one in that caliber more.

I hope I don't regret NOT buying one like I do when they had the Ruger Blackhawks SS 4 5/8" on sale a bit back. I don't shoot cowboy and don't know if the fun factor in .45 Colt would be all that great from a lever rifle.

Any of you own a Marlin in .45 Colt? Pros and Cons. These have deep Ballard rifling 20" bbl and the "Kinks" worked out so I've read.

    The .44 Magnums.......???

I have a Marlin 1894 in .44 Mag. Recoil is 'brisk' in that light little carbine. I'd like to have one in .45 Colt, though. That would be some fun. If you have the gun fund fun money available, you should get one of those in .45 Colt. They're a right handy size, and in .45 Colt would be a fun little shooter! No Rural King stores anywhere near where I live...............dang it!

Sure wish there was a RK nearby.
I have one in .44 Mag. also, and think the .45 Colt would be a great companion for it.

Thanks Big Chief, never heard of the place before. Turns out, there is one about 50 miles North of me. It is probably close to Jermanator.

    This information may prove costly.

$9.99 ship to store, depending on sale prices, may be cheaper than my local FFL and his $20 transfer fee.
