Shoulder holsters almost require muzzle flagging everyone on one side of you during the draw. A no go for me. And if they arenít great require both hands to accomplish the draw.

    Appendix carry is my preferred.

I carried IWB when I carried a full sized pistol and was more concerned with concealment. Since I have retired and no longer worry about being busted by co-workers, I just pocket carry a subcompact .45 or 9mm, and let it print.

Good thing about the Remora.....it's cheap to experiment. And it doesn't seem right, but, they DO stay in your pants even without a clip on them. You can get them either way, I got the non clipped version.

My normal CC are a 1911 .45 or Charter Arms .44 spc.

Any of you other skinny guys have this problem ??

At 5'11" 140, I guess I qualify as a skinny guy. I carry an M&P compact in an Alien Gear Cloak Tuck at about 3:30. Don't have the problem you mentioned. But I only carry around the house, and only a few hours at a time. Not sure how it would feel after 8 or 10 hours though.

I appendix carry a Glock 19 daily in a Raven Concealment Eidelon. For me the holster makes all the difference, and the Eidelon (and others like it) features a "claw" that your belt pushes against and rotates the gun butt against your torso. I can even carry with a moderately fitted t-shirt without significant printing.

I used to carry IWB with a Milt Sparks Executive Companion for my Colt Lt.Wt Officers Model .45 acp.
But after my hip replacement I switched to a Galco COMBAT MASTER BELT HOLSTER OWB that I carry either my Colt Commander or my Colt Lt. Wt. Officers Mdl. I have found it very comfortable and both fit well and easy for me to conceal.

Word to the wise, if you use a pocket holster like the Remora, use it as it was designed to be used.....in a pocket. A friend of mine was using the DeSantis pocket holster similar a Remora, but was using it as an IWB holster. A couple of weeks ago he had to pull his gun to stop a knife attack and the holster came out with the gun. He had to sweep the holster off the gun with his other hand. Luckily the thug fled when he realized he had literally brought a knife to a gunfight. The thug didn't get far, police caught up with him a few blocks away. What may appear to work fine in practice may not work so well in an emergency with the adrenaline flowing.

I have an OWB that fits both my PT-709 and fullsize M&P. Love it.

A long shirt and it hides the Taurus easily. The S&W needs more help, so if I wear my jacket, fine, otherwise, I have IWB that works.

The Remora CAN be used as a pocket holster but itís designed to be an IWB carry holster. The Desantis is an actual pocket carry holster. And the real Remora will NOT come out of your pants when you draw, period.

Iíve been carrying my wifeís 43 apendix in a Remora most of this winter and Iíll be dammed if itís not one of the most concealable and comfortable CC rigs ever. Hardly notice itís there anymore.

I wore a Remora with a P-64 in it for 12 hours today, drove over 500 miles, and did mechanical inspections on two cars. No strain, no pain, and I almost forgot I was packing, occasionally. I wear mine over my right kidney- - - -best position I've found for long distance driving- - - -maybe not the best for a quick draw?

I do the same thing with my LC9s. The Remora is VERY comfortable!
