I was listening to this one today. It's been a while!

Crocodile teeth, lizard's head, bloodshot eye, stained ocean red

Moving close to their raft's side, the two men prayed as one and cried
"Save me, save me, save me, save me"

2nd one..Bobbie Gentry, "Harper Valley PTA".

But, why do you post 2 different songs in the same post?

Bobbie Gentry did "Tallahatchee Bridge". "Harper Valley" is by Jeannie C. Riley.

I post two at a time to save a little typing. The first one is "A Dozen Pairs of Boots" by Del Reeves.

Can't believe I missed them both, even after seeing Jeannie at Camp LeJeune.

They say heavy metal music causes violence? No. Hearing Harper Valley causes violence. I HATE that song. Hate Tallahatchee bridge too.

I didn't say those were good songs- - - - -just obscure. Now if Jeannie had offered to do the horizontal tango with me back then, I would have been happy to make sure she couldn't sing a note for quite a while!

Yes, it does. It was a cut and paste from the lyrics posted on the web. Change "hoses" to "horse"

Never cared for that song much. I've heard it, but never knew the artist.
