I remember a comedian coming out on stage and declaring “Tonight I’m celebrating 120 days sober!” And the room went wild!!! Then he said, “Well not in a row...” and I almost fell of my chair laughing.

All jokes aside, congratulations. I have a few family menbers that I love DEARLY that fight that battle one day at a time and they have my utmost respect

    Good for you!

I quit because of heart meds on my own, never told I had to, but alcohol interfered with the pills effect on me. I said it was four years ago (stents), but actually it was longer when I was still working on Fort Hood. Probably for the best in the great scheme of things, anyhow.

My last drinks (three beers) was July 1983. Just decided that was enough, I grew up in a house with a devout drunk and I didn't need to follow in his foot steps.

Congratulations, it takes a lot of strength to kick an addiction.
Political correctness is a liberal degrading of the freedom of speech. George Orwell's 1984 famously incorporated the notion of limiting thought through language (see Newspeak)." Meanwhile, the beatings will continue until morale improves around here.
