Of course, you must realize that if you had worked the pup into the Ruger essay(and pic) you would have won, Right?

    Don't remind me...

    **PUPdate!** - April 28, 2012

He finally came home yesterday at 8 weeks old. His name is Bolt. Talk about a wonderfully spoiled dog (and I mean that in the best way possible). I can't imagine a more caring breeder. The pup got to play with caged quail a few days before he was flown in - on a private jet to a private airport - in San Diego where we met her and her husband, and received the puppy. They were incredibly nice people and I can't imagine a more positive dog buying experience. My daughter is in love with this puppy and it looks like I have a REALLY good hunting dog. I had him stalking and pointing a pheasant wing within 20 minutes of training him on a fishing rod/line setup. He are some clips and pics of him in action. A video of him hunting the pheasant wing is in the following post since you can only include one per post.

That is an OUTSTANDING looking pup. Genetics do work!!! Congratulations and looking forward to ongoing updates.

Yes, they do! My buddy and I were just talking about how you can take your chances on any old breeder or you can pay a few buck more and go with proven, champion stock. We both di the latter and it worked out nicely so far. Of course, nothing in life is a garauntee. Even the best parents can still turn out a dud, but you improve your chances of getting a winner by looking for a strong pedigree.

She loves him a bunch. She was teaching him how to "dance" on his hind legs with her today. He didn't seem to mind one bit.
