Have we discussed this shotgun? Inovative Magazine(s)

    Well, it's not a Kel-tec.

    Four 4 round tubes.

My search for Gibraltar got nada so I thought I'd see what y'all thought.

The Holy Grail of a tactical shotgun for law enforcement and military use has always been a compact, high capacity, detachable magazine weapon. The Holy Grail has been discovered!

If it works as advertised with 7-8 shot it will be a great tool for the 3 gun matches, got to get me one, just to see the faces of those that have invested thousands on Saigas that still jam all the time!

    For now, Meh...

I like the bullpup concept, but does this rotary magazine really give you something that a box magazine doesn't? And all without the need to 'rotate' the mag to the next hopper? Seems an uneccesarily complicated fix to fairly minor problem.

Now, take a bullpup and hang a box mag underneath, make it truly ambidextrous (ala Kel-Tec RFB) and then we'll talk...

$2400 asking price. 16+1 is a pretty capable shotgun load out, but there would certainly be a learning / retraining curve to be able to rotate that magazine under pressure.

But back on topic, I suppose the Gibraltar could have an advantage in that the shooter gets to change loads with the flick of the wrist (and the bolt.)

ETA: I just realized the gadget in the video was made in someones garage.
You wouldn't know anything about this would you????

Made right up the street from me. Neat. This could be a game changer if you can get spare mags. 16 rounds at a swap is nice. I like the autoload feature when you swap in a mag.

If it holds up and it is not a jamomatic like the Saigas I would love one for 3 gun matches, providing it was easy to swap it's magazines. I don't mind the horizontal tube magazine as it would not get in the way as in the 3 gun matches going prone even with a shotgun or shooting through ports is often the case, it would be great if it rotated on it's own also if the price was lower, a lot lower!

I wonder if California would classify that as a 16 round magazine (banned) or four, four round magazines (OK).

I dunno. . .shotgun seems to be a tool for splatting things in the immediate vicinity. At the point more than about 6 becomes necessary, it may well be rifle time.

From the videos, it's easy to swap mags. Snap the catch on the front and pull down. New mags go in the reverse of the way the old one came out. I've watched the vids at length and I have to say I am intrigued. It looks way more polished than the Kel-tec.

at the size the mags are how many would you really be able to carry on your person. also i see the 4 tubes thing more complicated than just putting in a slug if needed.

I'd like to see a 357 magnum version of that. Probably stack at least 6 tubes of 6 underneath.

Umm....how many would you need? 16 rounds per mag....that's a lot of firepower.

Now that you mention it, there's no reason this thing couldn't go all the way up to .45-70. Pick your flat-nosed cartridge.
