    Electoral College Predictions?

Me? 311 Romney, Obama 227. I am going on a gut feeling that there is a grass roots majority out there that is pretty pissed off but quiet. Factor in the total lack of enthusiasm that Obama voters have as opposed to 2008, and I am betting that he is going to have a very bad night.

My speculation is that Romney will take...
    Michigan
    Ohio
    New Hampshire
    Virginia
    North Carolina
    Florida
    Wisconsin
    Iowa
    Colorado

Obama will hold Pennsylvania and Nevada. National popular vote 51% Romney, 47% Obama.

    What are your predictions?

    Re: Electoral College Predictions?

Talking heads say Mitt lost some steam because of Sandy and Fat Boy NJ GOV hugging and praising Obammy. Of course, the news splashed it all over the place making the Prez look..... well like a caring Prez.

They say he is getting some back. Lots of different takes on how the states may go. I hope you are right.

Thing is each sides "Spinners" have a good argument depending on who they want elected. However, I think Mitt will prevail because "Hope and Change" has lost its appeal with the economy the way it is and folks don't want to move "Forward" with four more years of empty promises.

I just don't think the DEM base is as excited as it was four years ago and a lot of them will just stay home.

I will predict that Romney will will, by how much I would leary to say. Enough to beat Ovommit I hope. I saw that on the new about Chris Christy and such. Hey Jerm,if your speculation and conjecture is correct we have it made!!! If Romney wins what I am wondering is this: How many last ditch efforts will Ovommit envoke executive orders and what areas? When Romney wins Ovommit still has almost 3 months left in office.

I don't know about the whole electoral college, but i think O will win Ohio to squeak out the electoral college, but lose the popular vote by a few million votes. The prediction markets and betting lines have Obama being ~ a 2-1 favorite, but you never know until the votes are counted.

On the plus side I win either way. If Obama wins then I think the country will be slightly better off for the next 4 years. If he loses then I get to blame conservatives and Romney for anything bad that happens in the next 4 years.

This would be ironic after all the crying the libs did after the 2000 election.

I really hope you are right Jerm! If not, its time to start buying silver.

I think you are in the ballpark. I hope so, because if it's close the lawyers will hang it up till inauguration day.

Dick Morris is a so-called expert, and he says Romney 325, Ovomit 218. That only gives me a slight amount of comfort, but I will be optimistic until the vote count proves his theory wrong.

That time was two years ago, but massive inflation could still make it a good investment if you buy now.

The plus side would be if we didn't have to listen to your blabber for the next four years.

Yeah I know. It sucks. But I figure silver will be less affected than gold.

Actually, if you compare the percentage rise in bullion silver to bullion gold per ounce between 2008 and 2011, silver actually gained more in percentage of dollars/ounce than gold.

It better be a butt kicking, because if Romney just squeaks out a win, we wont know the "official" outcome for months.

And if Obama loses, no matter the margin, we will here ENDLESS claims of racism.

Does that mean your side will finally give Bush a rest? lol

If it's such a waste of time, you could do all of us a favor and drop out. I kind of thought you had a full-time job and wouldn't waste so much time on here in the afternoons, but hey your salary is subsidized by the govt. (i.e. taxpayers) so why should you care.

I did not TELL anyone to do anything. Try re-reading the statement for a better understanding of what I said.

Looking good on the Electoral side, but the popular vote is close so far. I remember McCain having an early lead in the night too...

Slamming his job? What I'm slamming is jerking around all afternoon while getting salary on taxpayer dime. Seems like you have a little too much invested in defending alf, but I'm sure I will have to get his crap too as soon as he sees the post. He is the one calling his time on this forum a waste. I only suggested what he could do if he thought it is a waste of time.
