    Trying to pick a holster

I need a holster for a Glock 19. Looking for an iwb and I know a lot of guys here like Crossbreeds. I've checked them out online but I've also found very similar ones from Galco and Comp-Tac. Crossbreed gets all the praise but both of the others actually look nicer. Wondering what the learned forum opinions are on these....

In a concealed carry holster, what do looks matter?

Heck, I'm using a home- and friend-brewed Crossbreed-styled holster. It's ugly, but comfortable and works well.

I bought a Galco Supertuck for my wife (and my) PM9. I'm impressed. Great holster. Everything is just right. The leather is soft, and supple, the Kydex fits just right, and all of the hardware is just as it should be. Money well spent, IMO.

I used Comp-Tac holsters for years (the Minotaur in particular)....comfortable, tough and secure

In truth - any of the holsters you've listed will do the job for you...

The Minotaur does look better than the Spartan, seems like it would be more comfortable with the covered back. Was yours the full holster version or the slide? The slide styles seem like they would be more easily concealed since there's less to print. Plus a marginal weight reduction.

Full holster...Having had several pistols pushed out of a slide holster while sitting, I won't use them - period...

I have a look alike from a kit.
I do not like it, it is too wide and very difficult to put on and
cannot easily be moved to another spot discreetly if it should become
    necessary.

I have a couple of Crossbreeds, 3 home-made copies, and one I made from a kit, that is just like the Crossbreed but half the price. Out of a big drawer-full, they are the only ones I still use for IWB carry.

Dunno. I mentioned it was Home- and Friend-made. Who were you saying was ugly but comfortable and works well? It's more leaving someone out than insulting them...

Re: Trying to pick a holster

I've been a huge fan of Comp-Tac for years, with the single exception of my 1911s. The one time I got a CT to carry my CCO, the pistol let me know it wasn't happy in plastic, so I went with a High Noon IWB.

Love my Crossbreed. Comfortable, fast on the draw, adjustable. Lifetime warranty.

It was a Chrisbreed with a Breamfisher mod/rebuild. He is fun to poke at...

So is that what you get when a Chris and a monkey breeds?
