Any HVAC experts on the forum? Have a few questions.

In a couple of weeks I am going to have our duct work cleaned out in our new house.  The ducts are very dirty and we are vacuuming the house several times a weeks to fight the dust.  I am getting prices all over the place here in Las Vegas, and I am getting frustrated dealing with all the B.S. in finding a reliable and honest technician.  We would also like to get our A/C unit inspected and if needed, serviced.

What are the prices in your neck of the woods for this service and what should I look for in the service?  Thanks for the help!

Drove (rode) a new Harley

I  took my 1986 FLHTC back to the original dealer I bought it from back in, 1986. Al Muth HD in Black River Falls, Wi.  I haven't been there in almost 15 years, so it was good to see Mark Muth again, he had originally sold me the bike. Anyhow, while I was there he let me test drive a new Heritage Softail. Let me say the new twin cam 96 CI is as awesome engine. Very smooth, quiet, with deceptive power. And that's what I didn't like about it. They've refined the engine so much I think it is to CIVILIZED!! It just doesn't feel like a Harley anymore.

September 2nd. Bad Day In My Family History!

billy boy sherman's troops marched into Atlanta and occupied the City. Very soon after this my GGGrandfather's home and also his place of business were burned to the ground in retaliation for his having been a Major in Confederate General Zollicoffer's command. My GGrandmother, his daughter, was a young girl at the time and lived with us in her last years...lived to be 105! She used to tell me all about what happened! When you grow up hearing stories like this, it makes it more real and personal than just reading about it in history books.

An EXCELLENT BOOK!!!

I read a great book recently. Its called "Escape From Davao", by John D. Lukacs.  Its about the 10 American P.O.W's who escaped from Davao prison camp in the Philipines during WW2.  Its the authors first time at the plate and he hit a grand slam. It is a definite must read no matter what your interests are, and should be required reading for any american history class.  If you get a chance, check it out!
