Heard this a few times on the "mass media", did not pay attention to it at first but by now I have heard this enough to wonder, they claim that due to the last mass killing he decided to sell the company and get out of the business?
If this post is non welcomed, I can always give you a recipe for making "tostones".

"Bushmaster" will quietly go the way of "Black Talon" and a few other infamous names. The business will get absorbed into one of the other brands the parent company owns, and the name will sort of evaporate. The same gun will get produced under another brand name, with maybe a few cosmetic changes.

The guy who shot the firefighters is reported to have used a Bushmaster, as did Malvo and Mohammed in the DC sniper attacks.

This was the whole plan from the beginning for Cerebus/ Freedom Group. This is what these companies do- they buy small companies that are suffering at bargain prices, fix what is wrong, and sell them at high prices. Right now, gun sales are at record high. Firearms companies are the only ones that have stock prices skyrocketing, and massive demand for the products. This was (until the shooting) the best time for them to sell off the very healthy and profitable Freedom Group for a healthy profit for Cerebus.

Now, someone is going to take the risk and buy FG. The risk is impending legislation. But if that does not happen, they are going to have a VERY profitable portfolio of companies, and some of the last US manufacturing jobs. Anyone have a few spare million lying about that I can use?

They already do this. The Remington R-15.
