Now those that sell to the armed forces and other government branches will get along, seems one outfit has market cornered, what about the rest, time to close their doors, export?

Colt will survive, anyone without a government contract will either sell to law enforcement , export, develop new products, or fold. The new military M-4s are select fire. Semi automatic or 3 round burst fire. The ARs could be limited to 1 round magazines, then bolt action will be faster. Who knows. :uhm: Later,

They will go out of business. As will many ammunition makers, parts suppliers, jobbers, wholesalers, retailers, and other workers. And the Democrats couldn't care less. Just more dependents for them to support - and bribe. BECAUSE THE LAST ELECTION PROVED THAT REPUBLICANS DON'T BOTHER TO VOTE.

It's going to come down to exactly what any new restrictions are. Look at all the ways that have been come up with to make a gAyR-15 for California. There are lots of ways - most of them obnoxiously stupid, to be sure - to manufacture a functioning firearm with AR parts that make it a non-"assault" rifle.

There are many companies that have their uppers and lowers manufactured for them with the company logo of their choice added on. A lot of those will probably just be able to sell off their inventory and walk into the sunset with their money.

Obnoxiously stupid is indeed the case. I remember that one of the rules for the 1994 gun ban was that the barrel could not have a bayonet lug on it! Stupid stupid stupid!
