    What? You lose a trailer?

If you hear a train, and you're miles from the nearest railroad track, find a hole to crawl into.

If you hear a banjo............paddle faster.

I only lived in trailer parks as a kid, so don't have much go add in the way of sage advice. But I would like to say thanks for the laugh. I've really enjoyed this thread.
Some threads I read for information. Others I read for entertainment value.

The only advice I can offer is make sure you have a place to put it. I grew up in the Permin Basin, about 35 miles west of Odessa. My mother still lives there, and we just got back from visiting her for Christmas. To say that housing is tight in that area is a considerable understatement. Even if you have a trailer, finding a lot for it may be just about impossible.

The pay is good out there, and there's plenty of work to go around. With the good comes the bad, though, and finding a place to live is one of the bad things.

Never lived in a trailer park, but I have stayed at a lot of Florida RV parks. Snow birds are real quiet.

    You are one of them.

Rent for a while and learn the community. Dealing with maintaining the trailer and a new job at the same time doesn't sound like fun.

Shotgunshooter, Are you by chance moving to western North Dakota oil fields, Most FEMA trailers are not well insulated for the cold up here.
