Squared one up at 21 yards and found this just inside the offside hide :tooth:

Be careful. If he wakes up he will bite a plug out of you.

It barely made it there in the first place. You actually think it would have enough energy to make it BACK to him?!

I have 3 words for this.

    All of them are STUPID.

Can we please quit doing this?

'Cause it's an old joke and lost any effectiveness it ever had. All the funny lines have already been posted, and all that are left are rehashes of the old ones or stupid and lame ones.

    Clear enough?

Yea you guys! Squirrels are people too. Don't you know they have feelings? Why don't you pick on someone your own size?

Good thing you didn't use a .327 Magnum. If you'd have hit the squirrel and he had found out about it, it would be like the killer beast of Caerbannog!

(See, I didn't reference the cartridge we won't talk about.)

If you would have used a 410 you could have taken him 400-500 yards away.

Wow - I just got back from the gym and didn't think this thread would become this divisive. I just wanted to have some fun with Photoshop and Jack O'Connor's fav cartridge (or, more precisely, Elmer Keith's interpretation thereof).

    It made me laugh.
Regardless of the bottleneck rifle cartridge it would be funny.

So....... Did you dial in the drop at that range or use Kentucky windage?

Count your lucky stars that he didn't force you to go for the frontal brain shot. We'd be doing your memorial thread.

So, since the .270 in question took out the squirrel, does that make it a "dangerous game" round now?

If you've ever made the mistake of trying to free one from protective grass mesh, you could definitely see "dangerous" as a qualifying adjective.

Had a buddy in college get attacked by one whilst playing frizbee golf. They can be taken out by a 195 gram putting disc by the way.

Did I miss something here "All of them are stupid"? Isn't that five words? :uhm:

Spoken like a man who would love a 270 :win:

Seriously, it's a great squirrel gun just take head shots to avoid tissue damage. Then run up and ring they're little neck before they recover.
