Eatin' Out Of The Garden Tonight, Mostly!
Fresh cabbage, lightly boiled/steamed with a little smoked sausage seasonin' and a big clove of Elephant garlic thrown in: Rudabega turnips cooked with salt, a little butter and a little seasonin' from Heintz Bar-Be-Que in Wharton, Texas thrown in to enhance flavor, fresh Brocolli steamed just so lightly, a side dish of Russian Black Radishes (seed came from Russia) and, augmented from the supermarket, fresh tomatos (tastes like cardboard) and Vidalia Onions (grown in Peru, not Vidalia, Georgia, yuk!) [I grow Texas 1015 onions for the market and call them "Talladalia Onions", and these sell like crazy! Just last week put about 8,000 plants in ther ground!] Top all this off with a little smoked sausage from a local source, and yummmm....I'm eatin' high off the hog tonight! Sure wish I could share with some of you fellas! You'd love it.....
