Would you (or do you) scavenge road kill?

Actually possum and sweet taters is an Arkansas delicacy. The possum is best live trapped and finished for a couple of weeks on apples, persimmons, and other fruit to get some of the gaminess out of the meat. Then you kill and skin, and boil in pot with sweet taters for a few hours...put a nice clean brick on the carcass to hold it down
Your method is similiar to what I was refering to, only the food source was different
to clean the possum out. I suspect it would be like **** in that all the fat has to be trimmed before cooking.

After watching a possum crawl out of the hole of a dead cow, no thanks. You can have my share.

Mine too, and my dad told me back in the day when coffins weren't so fancy, possums would go in a grave yard and have at it. No thanks folks, I'll eat that nasty Filipino Egg with the baby duck in it anyday before I eat possum.

Absolutely!.. Mostly deer, even if it's just for the backstraps .I'm hoping that someone is going to whack a bison out on the public road through the refuge....

You haven't arranged that already ?

Figured you for having a small stampede infront of the old beater on the way to the junk yard
