gun in vehicle

i have read that in virginia, one can conceal gun in a glove compartment because the gun may be a potential projectile if in an accident: is this true.
let us hang together, elsewise, we hang separately.

    Indicates that a compartment within a vehicle is a legal place
    for a person, who can legally own the firearm, can put and drive with the firearm;
    if they go places that it is legal to own a firearm..

    The bit about the projectile can be applied to anything loose in a vehicle.

    In the state of Virginia, if you do not have a Concealed Handgun Permit,
    the gun must be in plain sight.
    With the permit you can put it anywhere you want to.
    Rights and freedoms, won with patriot's blood,
    shall not be taken away, by ink from a tyrant's pen.
