Garret's Mo youth bird
Well I grabbed my nephew for today's youth hunt. We was all set by 5:30 am and the gobbling started around 6. We had one bird on a bluff near us but he dropped off the backside when he flew down. It was pretty quiet within a few hundred yards of us in any direction but we just stayed put. Around 8:45 Garret decided it was nap time and around 9 I cut a lil and back at the bluff a gobble broke out. I peeked behind and saw 7 hens in our pasture and decided to wake sleeping beauty. Got all set and looked again to see two toms in full strut headed our way. It was total chaos when they got to the jake decoy but the shooter did well and waited for the single bird kill. Awesome stuff!!!
I got a good video of the hunt if someone tells me how to embed it here

The kid showed excellent restraint in waiting for a clear shot on 1 bird.
Congratulations to you both, him for scoring under pressure and you for teaching him and giving him the opportunity to be out there.
You make an amazing guide.
