I just read this post that was linked off of a friends blog:

It is a really good read on mindset and avoidance. Thought I would pass it along.
To make something simple is a thousand times more difficult than to make something complex.

That's a very good read. Now- - - -factor a CCW into the situation, and it ramps things up a whole order of magnitude. The jerk who's acting like an idiot and trying to pick a fight might not know I'm armed (probably not, unless he's a suicidal fool) and at that point my responsibility to de-escalate the situation, or just leave gets really important. Pulling my gun and waving it under his nose is simply not an option!

If I was going to get back into Martial Arts it would be with Krav Maga. Israel knows how to fight and how to win. Taking prisoners is Optional. :win: Later,

One tactic I've used on high school kids with a testosterone overload and an attitude was to give them a hard stare and say, very quietly and deliberately- - - - -"The military didn't teach me to HURT people"! The ones with a little bit of common sense left got really quiet, really quick!
