A good friend of mine has a CZ Model 3 in .270 WSM that used the Montana Rifle Company Action. It is quite accurate and suits him fine, though he doesn't use it much because he has a lot of other rifles to choose from.
You have the right to your own opinion, but you don't have the right to your own facts:guns:
The Montana action was a custom item that came out several years ago as a lower-priced competitor for the Dakota action. The Dakota was basically a clone of the pre-64 Model 70, IIRC. Montana had some sort of quality-control issues for a while, so the year of manufacture might be critical to how reliable the rifle is. I seem to remember the Montana action being used as a base action for a custom rifle build by students of one of the prominent gunsmithing schools for a while.

I was given a bunch of .416 Remington mag ammo, brass, and dies. Not only that, but I am lacking in the dangerous game rifle department. I got a serious eye on one of those Montana XVR's in stainless... http://montanarifleco.com/custom.rifles.html#XtremeWeatherRifle
Reason obeys itself; and ignorance submits to whatever is dictated to it.

A .22LR lets you know when you pulled the trigger. An 8.5. Pound .458Lott will let your orthopedist know when you pulled the trigger.

Based on his posts, I don't think he's all that recoil averse. But I do agree that for a caliber meant for Africa where I'm told one usually has gun bearers I would have gone heavier. I'd be more worried about scope bump than my shoulder, If he's going to scope it.
Teach your children to love guns, they'll never be able to afford drugs
That is true but I was younger and more prone to womanly emotions back then, kind of like you every time you whine about your .458 hurting you. I'm now officially a grizzled old curmudgeon and capable of stitching my own wounds with a rusty dull needle and real cat gut if the cat cooperates...
So, when ya buying another No.1 in .458 WM?

I wanted this rifle light on purpose if you take Into account for 500 grain bullets plus powder you've done added a pound and if this gets any glass which I doubt I will scope it that will be another pound so in all actuality it's not that light hopefully pics and range report around first of October
Only got too fire off 4 rounds so far working 7 days a week. Gun balances pretty good trigger breaks nice the action needs a little smoothing up that's all I can really say so far hopefully next weekend can actually have time too actually see how well she shoots

They may have been bargains for customs at one time, but they aren't anymore, well once that is you get by that first few rifles. Now they're priced up there with the Dakotas.
Daddy, what's an enabler?
Son that's somebody with nothing to do with his time but keep me in trouble with mom.
Only got too fire off 4 rounds before I started to cry and my knees got weak. Gun balances pretty good. My nose breaks nice when the action snacked me up side the head. I can really say so far hopefully next weekend can actually have time to get some morphine in me to quit flinching like a goat hearing Buff' s footsteps coming to the barn at 1:00am, and see how well she shoots

Finally got around too shooting. Some today best 3 shot group was right at 1.5 inches at 50 yards off hand. Shot 3 more groups and the first one was the best the rest stayed around 2.25 all the way too almost 3. I'm satisfied with the gun for the money I think there worth looking into and they don't rape you for a left handed action
