5 inches or so of snow yesterday. After around seventy days with no natural moisture I don’t care if it is frozen. Hopefully the end of wildfire season.

She demonstrated this time and time again in California. I was there.

Sooooo. . .seeing as it looks like we're going to be returning to the Obama Administration shortly, I have to ask. . .

How has the original prize brick of .22LR been stored?
Rumor has it that it's in a.30 cal.ammo can with dessicant dumped in to fill the empty space, and sealed with Liquid Nail caulk. Kind of like Schrodinger's cat thing.

    Monday -
Wife: I’ve been cleaning out my closet and going to donate some clothing.

Husband: Why not just throw them away, it’s easier?

Wife: Because there are a lot of needy and starving people people who could use my clothing.

Husband: Honey, anyone who could wear your clothing isn’t starving.

    Wednesday -
Update: Husband is recovering nicely at the hospital.

Sometimes it is a bad thing to have a lgs that I pass on the way home, especially on payday. Today when I stopped in there was something that caught my eye so I went over for a closer look. It is a Dan Wesson in 38 super. It is a fine looking little thing, to bad it is so expensive.

Just because I haven't scandalized this place recently, I'll share that I changed my navel jewelry today. I *hate* changing my navel jewelry because the stupid little ball always wants to cross thread - but I got a new pair of round nose pliers that does seem to make the job tolerable. I have a new one that a dance sister gave to me because she developed a nickel allergy and can't wear them anymore. Dangley thing with lots of bling!
Would anyone like to see a picture? :D:D:D

Only took 13 months but I can again push a button and wash a dish........

This house never had one so we had to give up a cabinet. Tried to get it out in one piece.... Ended up in a 5 gallon bucket

First, the tenant's refrigerator took a dump - which I've been expecting for the last year. No sooner did the replacement get installed, then the A/C went out. Fortunately, just a bad thermostat which in turn took out the capacitor. Now I'm waiting for the 3rd disaster - that unit is the gift that just keeps on giving!

I don't see how that could happen.  Is that what the AC tech told you?

Yes. He claimed it was because the T-stat was short cycling the compressor - several kazillion startups and startup attempts...

Maybe.....  although it would have to have been an intermittent loose connection in the thermostat or a software issue if it was an electronic thermostat.  Not something I have seen before in almost 30 years in the industry, but I guess not impossible.  More likely it was just the capacitor, they tend to be the weakest link.

Yea, more than likely. Caps go out on a regular basis here in Florida - but the T-stat (one of those programmable ones) was all lit up and doing strange and wonderful things. Most likely co-incidence.

Working on the 1918 piano, first time I've done anything to it in several years. Re-setting the key dip, which is done with paper shims. I'm not going to have enough shims, I've chewed through 100 in the first 1-2/3rds octaves - and that's natural octaves at that, not chromatic. I only have about 300 or so more, I'm gonna run out!
I first did this job in about 2005, and as it was one of the very first things I did to this instrument, I did it incorrectly and set it too deep. My tuner in California didn't catch it, but the guy here in Florida did. "Hey dummkopf..." He even gave me a gauge - mine was the incorrect size.
Since I'm going to run out of shims anyway, I hope I do before I get to the sharps. Those are going to be a PITA, and I'd rather do them after a break...

You'd never make it on HGTV - you're nobody unless you insist on an "open concept" floorplan (and stainless st.. - excuse me, STAINLESS STEEL APPLIANCES!)...
