Since when does the POTUS, while giving an invitation only speech, in a western allied nation, make his speech from inside a huge bullet proof glass box? I was quite surprised...

Saw it on the news tonight from Berlin...crazy...I can't tell if this is more a statement on our international relations, or if Obama is letting his internal paranoid dictator show...

It is kind of ironic that he has his own wall at the site of the Berlin wall, but... Whatever it takes to keep Obama healthy is good with me. I am not a fan of the guy, but the words "President Biden" scare the living crap out of me.

JFK drew 250,000 to his speach at the wall. Oblivit "allowed" 4500 to be invited to his. Wonder what the paid the 4500 to show up. Big problem during the speach, the angle of the sun prevented the teleprompters from being seen from the stage so 4500 got a bad show. Bullet proof glass looked good though. Hope they reuse the bullet proof glass on the Africa trip but probably not, might be dirty. Oblivit wouldn't want to save any money. :deadhorse: Later,

I thought the tough German gun laws, quite similar to what antis want to approve in the U.S., would render such kind of protection useless. I'd understand such kind of protective measure in Texas, but in gun-free Europe.....really?
