More fun jug shooting

Most of us, I expect, and every thing I've seen on the WEB shows setting water filled 1/2 gal milk jugs upright
when the jugs are going to shot, myself included.

Recently, I had been laying jugs on their side and shooting the bottom, then today I decided what if the jug
was full of water and would the press on jug cap hold the water in. With care the cap will retain the water.

So, I did that and shot the jug with a good expanding SD pistol rnd, 10mm silvertip. It was well worth the trouble as the
jug flew through the air 5 yds and several feet in the air. Much more interesting than the normal water splash and the
jug falls 2 ft to the side.

I think this method would create a better jug tgt when plinking with novice shooters.

Happy shooting, if not happy, go shoot anyway.

Yeah, that is a problem, the only guy around that has the time to
go out there with me only has one leg and I expect he'd get in
that kicking contest and we'd never get there.

Tried a .327 100 gr gold-dot, worked well enough, but, not like the
bigger 10mm bullet. I expect the larger cross section of the 10mm
    is the reason.

Next will be .40 from the 10 mm handgun.

Well, your "Jugology" must be trying to tell ya about the .327......... being good only long enough until you can get someting bigger in yer paws to shoot :tooth::guns:

Seems that WWB SD .45acp JHP is the best rnd so far,
not the elevation of the 10mm, but, twice the distance
    for the flying jug.
