I just received this nice pouch-holster in the mail today.

A few days ago I ordered a "Sneaky Pete" belt holster. It arrived in todays mail, and I thought I would post these pics of it to see if any of you have used this holster before, and what you thought of it. It looks pretty good, sort of like a phone or computer tablet holster, but it is designed to hold your favorite compact handgun like a .380 or 9mm compact. There are many versions of this to fit your specific handgun. The case seems to be fairly sturdy and can be worn with either dress or casual clothing and comes with either belt loops or metal clips to allow immediate withdrawal of the holster from your belt. The top flap has strong magnets which hold the flap closed until you need to pull the gun out of it's holster. Very convenient, I think. I like the design, so I'll be wearing this from now on, instead of the shapeless black canvas bag I had been wearing. I also bought the case for an extra magazine which you have to put in your pocket rather than on the belt like a holster. Only the model for the .380 has a belt clip. What's nice about the design is it's made such that you can't grab the trigger while pulling the gun out of it's case. A good safety feature in my opinion.

LOL...Exactly what my canvas bag holster looks like, and why I opted for this when I saw it in the June issue of American Rifleman. The sides are formed and reinforced to keep it's rigidity.

That with a LCP would work great for me. Thanks, now I'm on a mission.

After I have used this for a week or two, I'll post some further comments about it for those who may be interested in this item. I forgot to add that these holsters can be obtained for the .40 cal variety compacts as well.

The holsters are supposed to be an exact match for the make and model handgun you have. My S&W M&P 9C holster is a perfect fit.

I've been using this holster for about a week now and I like it. It looks good and is fairly comfortable. Your shirt can be worn inside or outside the waistband and over the holster without it looking too bulky. About the only thing negative I can say about it is when driving if you have a right-handed one like I do, the holster needs to be adjusted towards the front to give me more clearance for the seat belt. Otherwise it is a very nice holster.

I like the looks of the brown one, I think it would be good for dress wear.

If they make one that will take my Kahr CW 45. I'm there. Maybe I'm just getting older but this humidity is killing me IWB wise. I'm gonna have to buy another holster anyway just to keep a dry one in the rotation.
Ned, what brand is that you use for your 29 in what I'll call a front cross draw?

It's winter when I have time, I shall create one of these. I really need a sewing machine to make it look as fancy as theirs, but I'll give it a go without one.
The only thing is that they make a Kydex insert that actually holds the weapon in place and it will snap in and snap out, being a perfect fit. If you can work with leather, I'm sure you can duplicate the box, but I don't know about the insert. Too bad you couldn't borrow one from someone who lives near you and study the construction of it to give you a better idea of how they made it.

I didn't know that. Sounds like you have it made then....at least by winter, anyway.:cool2:

Kydex plus heat gun equals holster. Easy peasy.
I still have yet to make the magazine holster from the kit I got with the belt clip gun holster kit I got from from "Old Fashioned Holsters," so I get the part about the heat gun.

MMD, good to know it's working out. I just ordered one for my G26.

Totally unrelated, but how is your rehab going with the knees?

I think you will like this holster. Thanks for asking....Regarding rehab, I am officially off the personalized physical therapy, but on my own I'm doing what's called a "wellness program." Basically it is the same as P.T. but it's self directed unless I need guidance from the therapist on how to use the equipment. I use their facility like a gym for $30.00 per month. I am making good progress, but it is slow. I can walk fairly normally, but it is still painful in my knees to get up or down in a chair or sofa or other low spot.

Good to hear the knees are doing better. My uncle had both done and it took him a while to get completely over the problems with getting up you're experiencing, but he did it. Keep up the exercise.

Maybe next spring you can get up this way and 'ride the dragon'; they should have all the rework from the slides done by then.

I think I'll like the holster. There are times when I just don't want to wear a regular holster and cover it with a shirt. And I HATE those IWB types.

I don't like the IWB's either. Before I got this one, I bought a kit holster from Old Fashioned Holsters, and although it looks nice I'm not sure I care for the way it fits. It has the standard metal belt clips and plenty of leather backing so it should be comfortable, but it just doesn't seem right. Maybe it needs breaking in.

Yeah, I understand it will take some time to heal completely. It's always the same old story though, it never happens fast enough.

I'm going to be in Maggie Valley, NC in a few weeks for a motorcycle rally there and I'm hoping most of the roads which have been designated for organized rides have been repaired or undamaged by flooding. I understand a couple of those mountain roads were washed out by heavy rains. I was on the Dragon last August and loved it, along with some real nerve wracking other roads that had steep inclines up the sides of mountains with blind-hairpin turns in them...whew, what an adrenaline rush! My hands were sweating all the way up, and I had to keep wiping my throttle hand on my pants to keep it from slipping off the grip.

South Pittsburg, TN, I-24, and lots of local state roads around my area have been hammered by rock and dirt slides the past couple of weeks. Trees are being uprooted from all the supersaturated soil, too. Flooding has been really bad all over the area from Chattanooga north to Knoxville, and all counties east of I-75. Hope it's cleared up and weather is a LOT better when you get up here. It's rained every day since June 28; had something like 2 feet of rain in some areas in that time.

I didn't see one for my CW45 but they did have one for a CW40 so I emailed them. If they have one I'm gonna try it out. I've been seeing the ads in the gun press and was intrigued, so I really appreciate the OP posting a range report.

After you last posted, I took a look on their site for a model to fit yours, but didn't see one. I figured you would check yourself, otherwise I would have responded. If you order, their delivery is very fast. Mine went out the day after I ordered by Priority Mail and I got it 2 days later.

It's been very rainy here too with some flooding in some areas, but where I live there hasn't been too much of any flooding. Seems like the entire east coast has gotten drenched. I have friends in Anderson, SC and they have been complaining about all the rain too. By the way you describe it, it seems as though the west side of the mountains have been hit the worst.

I heard of one washout in the Smokies that might affect our rides up there. I think it was either 441 or 128, but not sure. I'm hoping for drier weather too. I've been looking forward to this trip for 6 months.

This one looks much better than the black canvas one I have used, and is more like an actual holster.

I like mine. It is a little bulky, but it doesn't look like a holster, either. Good tradeoff!

I really want one but they don't make one for the Kahr CW45 and said they don't make one that would work.
