I'm happy that the rule of law was followed. But I'm happy for no one. An idiot is loose on the streets again. A punk got killed because of his stupidity and penchant for violence. We now will face every liberal in the world screaming for "revision" of the stand your ground law and racial tension will escalate. What these two morons did to the rest of us is just ridiculous and Trayvons family and the rest of the leeches are ready and willing to make a career out of their sons tragic mistake...

Agree, except for the Martin family. Although angry with the verdict they appear to be asking for calm and are staying out of the limelight. Their family attorney is also speaking about calm and reason.

People around them, of course, will try to milk the verdict for all they can. But the parents don't seem to be part of this.

Sam I hope that you are right. But the family did not go home to their church as the family attorney said. The revs Sharpton and crew are staying low also.

Everybody is behaving themselves now because it's a WEEKEND. When Holder and the New Black Panther Party are open for business Monday morning, the pressure will be on for a federal charge, and a civil suit. It was fun watching the radical left hosts at MSNBC wax apoplectic over the acquittal. They were beside themselves.

As has been explained multiple times - Under Florida Law, Zimmerman, having been found in court to have been involved in a legitimate self-defense shooting, is immune from civil suits related to the incident.

Most any state that used Florida law as a basis for their own CCW law has the same protection in place.

As people who carry firearms in order to defend ourselves, it's incumbent upon us to know the law inside and out...

He even gets his gun back, I think he needs a bigger one.

Someone asked me a question as we talked about this trial: Would you want the gun back? I already have a pretty good idea what most of you would say, but I thought about it. He made the point that the 'karma' on that gun would be negative and he wouldn't want it, which, if you believe in that sort of thing, is a valid point. But I looked at it the way I suspect a lot of us here would: "I paid good money for that gun, spent a lot of time practicing with it and it's one of my favorites - of course I want it back!"

Karma- - - - -shmarma- - - -a gun is an inanimate object. It has no more personality for good or evil than a car, a baseball bat, or a brick. If it's in good working shape, by all means put it back in the holster. It's worked once and did what it was supposed to do.

The Martins already got a million dollar settlement from the HOA and no telling how much for the royalties on the Trayvon hoodies and other stuff. They haven't come out of this destitute.

What's next? Trayvon Martin's face on Skittles packs, ice tea bottles, or - I know - on Cherrios cereal boxes? Too bad he didn't live long enough to make a sex tape with Rachel Jeantel.

I would want the gun back,, it saved his life.. There is no telling what might have happened had he not been carrying it. I feel bad for the Martin family but maybe if he just asked "hey why are u following me?" Instead of punching his head in this all would have turned out different. Martin could have just said I'm walking home..

Anyways that gun will be worth something to some crazy collector one day just so he can say I have the Zimmerman gun..

He did raise a good point that I can validate much of the black community has overlooked: Trayvon was in Sanford because of his previous behavior, and his mother couldn't handle him. Not saying that it means he did something overtly aggressive that night, but the mitigation it offers to the circumstances is not unsubstantial.

How absurd. White people only "riot" for Revolutions...and occupy movements...

    After

Or the Viet Nam war or busing in Boston.
But I'll say this. If TM was my son he would still be alive. After all the shenanigans he had been pulling lately, he would not have been allowed out at night. He would have been up in his room. No phone, no TV. Text books only. Every night til he got his act together.

Funny, last night I watched as the Portland Police stopped a young male for cutting through a parking lot, I am sure civil rights leaders do not approve of this, stopping a young male, hoody and all.....
